JEWELL RADIMISIS JORGE LL.P Hosts Helmets on Kids Event

On Friday, May 1, 2026, JEWELL RADIMISIS JORGE LL.P hosted two Helmets on Kids events where they distributed 450 helmets to the children at St. Anthony’s Catholic School and St. Sebastian’s Catholic School.

Thank you to Principals Hunter and Duarte for hosting. The event was a tremendous success. One lucky child even won a $200 gift card from Canadian Tire to buy a bicycle.

The event was star studded with the attendance and presentation of Jamaal Magloire, a former NBA basketball player for the Toronto Raptors, and former assistant coach and current ambassador for the Raptors. Speeches were also made by Brandon Browne (TCDSB Director), Inspector Paul Qureshi (Toronto Police Service Traffic Services) and Dr. Daniel Rosenfield (ER Doctor at Sick Kids Hospital). Over 35 TPS police officers and auxiliary officers and the 501st Legion, Canadian Garrison (Star Wars character) attended.

Of special note, the local media that covered the event were Camoes Radio and Gente TV.

The event would not have been possible without the generous support of the firm, their sponsors and community partners.

A very special thank you to all of the volunteers as well who helped fit the children with helmets.

The Helmet on Kids event is an important initiative to Tina Radimisis and Michelle Jorge, partners at JEWELL RADIMISIS JORGE LL.P as it aims to keep children safe on the road when riding their bicycles. Low-income communities, especially, have a higher rate of children without helmets. If we can just save one child from being seriously injured or worse, Tina and Michelle have succeeded tenfold. Protecting the children of our communities is their most paramount priority.
