On Friday, May 1, Sandev Purewal, Partner at Lerners LLP, in partnership with Peel Regional Police Deputy Chief Dapat, Michelle Stubbings (Peel District School Board), the Boyer Family, Mr. Gobind Grewal and staff from the Peel Children’s Safety Village, hosted a Peel Helmets on Kids community event.
Since 2008, the Peel Helmets on Kids campaign has been helping children access properly fitted bicycle helmets, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of bicycle safety.
For the past 18 years, Sandev Purewal Past President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) , has played a leading role in supporting the campaign through fundraising and community partnerships.
Delivered in collaboration with OTLA, the Peel District School Board and Peel Regional Police – Safety Village, the initiative has distributed more than 10,000 helmets to students across the Region of Peel, helping improve the safety and well-being of local youth.
